UwAmp is a WAMP server that integrates user-friendly tools for helping you manage Apache and MySQL servers easier. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files to any location on the hard disk and just click the executable to run. It is also possible to save UwAmp to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine effortlessly and without previous installers.
The main application window has a clean aspect and contains well-structured options. The Apache and MySQL servers automatically start running at initialization, and you can view their CPU usage.
As far as configuration is concerned, you can select the PHP version, manage PHP extensions and settings, select the Apache mode (online or offline), edit Apache virtual server and modules properties, as well as change MySQL authentication parameters.
Additional tools found in UwAmp can bring up the localhost page, open the program’s location in Explorer, run an XDebug client, view PHP information, as well as use an SQLite database browser.
UwAmp is light on the system resources, using minimal CPU and RAM. All in all, UwAmp is a pretty decent WAMP server for anyone interested in managing Apache and MySQL servers.
